Randall
McManus, CLP - President. A graduate of Texas A & M University, Randy began landscape maintenance work as a crewleader for The Greenery, a local nursery & landscape company, while a student at A & M. He began similar work in the Portland area shortly after completing Forestry studies in 1979. Three years at Northwest Landscape Industries (then Oregon Landscape Maintenance) were followed by twelve years as manager of landscape maintenance operations at Drake's 7 Dees. Randy has been a licensed pesticide applicator in Oregon since 1980. He has served the Oregon Landscape Contractors Assn. (OLCA) as a testing judge for its Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) test, & as co-chair of the OLCA Task Force for the Oregon Garden. He is a board member of the Oregon Chapter of Community Associations Institute, & in 1999 he became a Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) through the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA). Randy & his wife, Lynn, are the parents of a teenage daughter & son.
Matt
Triplett, CLP, CLT, CLIA - Vice President. After attending Oregon State University, Matt also went to work for Northwest Landscape Industries prior to joining Randy at Drake's 7 Dees in 1991. In addition to holding an "all phases" landscape contractor's license, Matt was among the first people in Oregon to become a Certified Landscape Technician in 1993. Matt is the past state Chair for the Certification Committee & served in 2002 as the Chair for the International Landscape Technician Council, which is the program's governing body for ALCA. He also has been very involved with the Oregon Landscape Contractors Association, serving in the past as a Director, Treasurer, and currently as our state association's President. In 2000, Matt joined Randy and only twelve other people in Oregon and just over three hundred nationwide as a Certified Landscape Professional. He added yet another certification to his credit in 2001 by becoming a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA) through participation in the Irrigation Association's certification program. Matt has been an active member of the North Clackamas County Chamber of Commerce. He has been a visible representative for the green industry, working with the Regional Water Providers Consortium to address effective water use and conservation with regards to proper landscaping practices. Matt and his wife Nancy, a sixth grade teacher in the Gresham School District, have an eight year old daughter and twin five year old daughters.
Tony
Anderson, CLT - Plant Health Care Supervisor. Tony joined WLS in 1997 after six years in residential landscape maintenance at Kurisu International. Tony is a licensed pesticide applicator & has been a CLT since 1996. He has been a member of the Portland Symphonic Choir, & he has served as a City Councilman & School Board President in his Iowa hometown. Tony attended the University of Northern Iowa & later enrolled in the Landscape Technology Program at Portland Community College. Tony & his wife Carol have two adult sons.
Ignacio
Vallines, CLT - Lawn Care Supervisor. Ignacio recently completed his eighth year as our most celebrated production leader. Achieving his CLT designation in 2000, Ignacio is instrumental in employee hiring and training. His responsibilities are focused mainly on seeing that our customers receive the highest quality lawn care possible. Ignacio serves as our primary English/Spanish language interpreter. He also possesses an Oregon Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License & can count over fourteen years of experience in the nursery & landscape trades.
Steve
Craig, CLT - Irrigation and Drainage Specialist. Steve began working in the landscape trade in 1988 in Tucson, AZ, prior to moving to Oregon & joining us in 1996. Steve is one of the best irrigation problem-solvers in the business, as you will soon discover if you ever get to watch him work. He is nearing completion of the CLT test for irrigation. When not irrigating, Steve can be found on the water, pursuing trophy steelhead & salmon. Steve & his wife Michelle have two young boys. |
