Should I only use native plants in my landscape?  That is a very broad question, because many of them grow too large for a developed community, & there are also plants that have been introduced that are drought tolerant, beautiful, small in stature, & should be utilized in an area where you may want to add variety.  We have developed a plant list that includes native & other hardy plants that work well in multi-family communities in our area.

Native plants have been here for awhile.  Even longer than us!  They are adapted for our Pacific Northwest climate, so they are able to withstand a hot summer , & a soggy winter, better than some introduced landscape plants.
